Our trip to Korea for the Musical Cafe-In 20th-23rd December 2010

On these few days in Korea, we did some usual touristy and shopping stuff so there is nothing much interesting to talk about except that some of the days was so so cold!! I really dun recommend going to Korea in winter unless of course you really like cold, have not experienced it or wanna ski. Coz when it is so cold, you really don't feel like being on the streets. You also won't feel like taking any photos as your hands will freeze when you take it out of your pockets plus we all look fat in the layers of clothes. We did however went to some 'places of interest' on our way to shopping which might interest you.

20th December 2010
We went to Royal Avenue which is a must for me coz I adore rabbits (I have 3-1. Hehe... Cannot forget the one whom had passed away)!! Royal Avenue is situated near Gangnam-Gu Office Station. After getting lost a little, we finally found it. It's not really a shopping centre so most likely you will miss it too. I think it's actually an office building but since many fans want to drop by, they made a small showroom to accommodate them. There was various memorabilias there. A huge Jungmin standee and a photo of him that is made up of various small photos of him. OMG!! There is also a guestbook that fans can sign on and a small clothesline that have polaroids of fans with Jungmin standee and such. The most interesting thing is 2 felt dolls of Jungmin and Baby on horses at the corner. It is also a small cafe with tables. The staff must be very used to fans and they left us alone coz we were looking around and touching their stuff but we did not buy or eat anything there... Yikes!! *shy*

My main aim when I got there was of course the bunnies. I remember seeing online before that they are all housed in the same cage but when we got there, we found that now, they have all been separated into individual cages. That's most likely because they recently had unexpected bunny babies. Ah!! Of course!! Bunnies are very reproductive... It seems sad now that they are separated. If only I can speak in Korean, I will tell them to neuter the rabbits so that they can be housed together without the fear of unlimited babies. Sigh... As for the bunnies, Rex and Lapin are really friendly and wants to be pet. And Lapin was jumping around in her cage indicating that she is very happy. Hwangtos the fluffy is more timid and will stand in a corner to watch and he looks so much like a little doggy. Gain is so pretty with her eyeliner and she marked me as her property by rubbing her chin (scent glands) on my finger when I pet her. RokChang is very curious and keeps standing and poking his nose out of the grill but when I go near, he will quickly run away. His fur is very unique and he looks like he is wearing a white shirt. Ah... I can spazz whole day about them but then we had to leave. We stayed for about half and hour.

21th December 2010
We went to Apgujeong which is a high class area today to meet a Taiwanese friend who is also touring Korea. As it was already lunch time, we decided to go eat BBQ and took a recommendation from the tour book that we had on hand. Turns out that many many stars eat at this restaurant including U-Kiss and Kim Chang Ryul (Baby's DJ colleague and Ohbamah co-host). We went around looking at all the photos but did not see any of our boys... Sigh.

We then walked towards Rodeo Street to find SM Entertainment Building that my friend wanted to see. On our way there, we passed by SoonSoo which is the place that Baby does his hair.

Right after that, we passed by Gorilla in the Kitchen which is Bae Yong Jun's restaurant. There was a black car outside but it drove away after we stood around taking photos. We never did find out who went there though or if there are stars inside.

Then after walking for a bit more, we finally found SM Entertaiment Building which happens to be a very very plain and unimpressive building. Without knowing it, you would not know that this is where many big stars are made. LOL!! There were some fans standing outside but we did not wait around to see if anyone comes out. After that we went to JYP which is a few streets away but I forgot to take a photo. After JYP, 린다 and our friends went to YG but I did not go coz I forgot to bring our presents for our taiwanese friends from our hotel so I had to go back.

22th December 2010
The final 'place of interest' for some is the Coffee Prince Cafe which is located at Hongdae. We again took a long time to find it. After asking around and getting lost for 2-3 times, we finally found the 'opening' to go in. It looks so dilapidated outside that you will not think that this is the place. It looks like an abandoned house outside. The inside also looks kind of patched up eg. scotch tape on the wall etc. This goes with the theme of the building of course. The place is also surprisingly small. Much smaller than what it feels like in the show. The coffee is not fantastic though... There are various autographs inside and it was quite fun to be somewhere that you have actually seen on TV.

Next up is eating at Hotsun Chicken at Hongdae which leader is the spokesperson for. The chicken was good!! We ordered the half Baked-not-fried chicken/Yang Myun Chicken mix and another half Grilled hot/normal Chicken. I prefer the Yang Myun Chicken.

23th December 2010
We went to buy Hotsun again today then headed back to our hotel for a feast at night. Look at the feast we had!! We bought the garlic chicken this time and it was so nice!!

That ends the touristy stuff. Coming up is our next musical experience which is on 24th December 2010. Will write it after I finish my work or my boss will kick my ass soon.
